03-10-2010 Meeting PREVIEW

Hi, everyone. Like Chris mentioned, we’re going to be posting before every meeting in regards to upcoming discussion and what to expect. This will also be a tool for people to respond and confirm their attendance or to raise issues before the actual meeting. Also; and what I think is really cool; minutes can easily be left as a comment and further discussed even after the meeting, which we/mostofus have been using Google Wave as our collaborating tool of choice mainly out of availability and convenience. So thankyou to all who participated in setting this up. Moving along…

The March Tenth Wednesday Meeting at Three O` Clock will cover the following topics.

• Operation Repair and Share
  • How many new machines will we have for next drawing?
  • What are plans for remaining machines?
    • Everyone discuss, then check with Chuck
  • With this new site in place, we should document the event.
• Upcoming LAN Party
  • April 15th at 4PM in C139
  • Discuss Poster as group
  • Pizza, I really just wanted a third bullet
• New Project
  • After the R&S drawing after spring break, we should jump into a new and exciting project
    • Everyone throw out some ideas, please
• Proposal to Student Senate
  • For a multitude of reasons, we should invest in a rack with wheels that will house:
    • Rack mounted networking equipment
    • Rack mounted servers
    • Have space for shelves
      • For our towers

In the future I will prepare these previews on Sunday nights, giving everyone some time to add or address things to/on this informal agenda.
